New SHORT GAME AREA progressing!

With the bulk of the earth moving complete, the shaping of the green surface is next. After the topography of the green is roughed out and sloped properly the cavity of the green is carved out and edged. The next phase is to trench the drainage lines, install  drainage pipe and stone. When that task is complete, up to 250 tons of high sand greens construction mix will be installed in the cavity. Future postings will show those phases.

There has been much rain falling to our west and north which does drain our way.....Keep your fingers crossed!

Have you noticed the "white" grass on the golf course?

We have been aggressively targeting Bermudagrass for suppression and removal in our Bentgrass fairways and tees for over two years now. What you see on the forward tee on the 18th hole is the effects of one of our treatments. This particular material will turn the newest leave blades of the Bermudagrass white and hopefully retard its growth without too march harm to the Bentgrass. We will continue with multiple applications of this material during the summer on tees, fairways and approaches. This is a long term program that has yielded positive results so far.
