The grass you are seeing on the golf course that has a white appearence is actually Common Bermudagrass that we have been trying to get rid of for the last three years. There are certain products on the market that will discourage growth of this grass and hopefully allow Bentgrass to fill in.
The "bleaching" effect of one of the products slows down the new growth of the Bemudagrass which is very important during the hot summer months. Without this effect the Bermudagrass could and would take over more and more area on the fairways, approaches and collars.
This program also has some drawbacks, discoloration of the more desireable grass (bentgrass) may and usually does occur. This effect should grow out in a week or two. There is a very fine line in the rates we use so we have to be patient to achieve success. In the last two years we have reduced the Bermudagrass population in the targeted areas by 50%.
With all this said, you are asking yourself "Then why are we going to hybrid Bernudagrass on the practice areas?". That will be answered in a different blog posting.
This blog is honestly beneficial concerning all educational understanding I earned. It covered a wonderful region of issue that may help some of needy humans. everything cited here is obvious and without a doubt beneficial. improve golf swing
